- Vasquez is an outlaw who was recruited/coerced by Sam Chisolm into joining the seven and saving the town of Rose Creek from industrialist Bartholomew Bogue and his gang. Before joining the seven he was on the run after killing the rancher he was employed by. Sam Chisolm used the bounty on his head to convince him to join the seven. The film does not provide many details around the incident or his life before the film.
